What I do#
I work at the point where AI meets production software: voice agents that answer real phone calls, assistants grounded in real documents, and the APIs, databases and infrastructure that keep them running. I've shipped as an employee, as a founder and as a freelancer, and I work remotely with clients in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, in English or Arabic.
Alongside client work I train engineers — one-to-one, in teams and in cohorts — in full-stack development, DevOps and AI engineering.
Experience#
- Revealsite (remote, USA) — Senior software engineer, DevOps, backend and AI · 2025–present. Leading the backend team building DentalBase.ai, a real-time voice AI receptionist for dental offices across the United States. I helped start the project, chose the technologies and grew it from zero to a live platform that patients use around the clock to schedule appointments: streaming speech-to-text, LLM reasoning with tool calling, telephony, and the Azure production infrastructure.
- Syntheia.io (remote, USA) — Software engineer, NLP and MLOps · 2022–2025. Led the backend team building ML microservices for legal document intelligence: multi-document comparison that helps lawyers find flaws in contracts, and summarisation of long legal documents. A microservice redesign improved performance by 30%, cut inference time by 20%, lifted accuracy by 15% and stability by 25%; new engineering practices raised code coverage by 50% and brought a slow query from 2 seconds to 10 milliseconds. Load testing (JMeter), monitoring (Grafana), Python backends (Flask, FastAPI), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and React.
- Ogoul.com — MLOps engineer, part time · 2023–present. Leading the development and deployment of machine-learning backends, including services for LLMs and generative AI, across cloud providers and on-premise servers.

- QBcall (Egypt) — Backend developer · 2022. End-to-end testing, refactoring and maintenance of NestJS microservices; interviewed and onboarded new engineers.

Products I founded or built#
- Manzel Masr — Egypt's Arabic-first property marketplace with a broker CRM and an AI listing assistant. Founder, full-stack.
- Hamour — a 100-level 3D shooter that runs in the browser.
- Seera — an interactive, sourced timeline of the Prophet's ﷺ life.
- Excalidraw+ — Excalidraw with unlimited diagram size and presentations built in.
- Earlier: a PDF chatbot (RAG), Psionica (a brain-signal classification system that lets people with quadriplegia control phones and wheelchairs — I led a team of four), a Spotify-style backend built within a 36-developer project, and Udagram, a monolith refactored into microservices with full CI/CD on AWS EKS.
