Tracks#

Full-stack development#

REST API design, authentication, databases (PostgreSQL), a React frontend, testing and deployment. You finish with a real app running on a real domain.

DevOps and cloud#

Docker from the ground up, Kubernetes with the concepts that matter (deployments, services, ingress, config, autoscaling), CI/CD with GitHub Actions, infrastructure as code with Terraform, and deploying to AWS or Azure.

AI engineering#

How LLMs behave in practice, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation over your own documents, embeddings and vector search, tool calling and agents, evaluation sets, and cost and latency in production.

Backend engineering#

Data modelling, query performance, caching with Redis, message queues, observability, and the patterns that keep systems stable as they grow.

How the mentoring works#

Assessment session (free). We look at where you are and where you want to be, and I propose a plan with milestones.
Weekly sessions. Live, hands-on, screen shared: we build, I review your code, you leave with a clear next step.
Between sessions. Homework on a real project, and questions answered in a shared channel.
Portfolio and next step. By the end you have deployed work you can show, and — if you want it — a run of interview preparation.

Where and how I work#

Sessions are remote (Cairo, UTC+2 — comfortable for Europe, the Middle East and US mornings), in English or Arabic. In-person workshops are possible in Cairo.

Questions people ask

What formats do you offer?

One-to-one mentoring (weekly sessions with homework and code review), team workshops (one day to two weeks, remote or in Cairo), and cohort courses. Sessions are in English or Arabic.

What level do I need to be?

Anything from "I've done a few tutorials" to senior engineers moving into AI. The first session is a free assessment so we set the right starting point.

What will I actually build?

Real projects, not slides: a deployed web app with authentication and a database, a containerised service on Kubernetes with a CI/CD pipeline, or an LLM app with retrieval and an evaluation set — depending on the track.

Can you train our whole team?

Yes. I design the curriculum around your stack and your real codebase, so the team leaves with skills they'll use on Monday, not a certificate they'll forget.

Is this the same as your interview preparation?

They're related. Training builds the skills; interview preparation practises presenting them under pressure. Many people do both, and there's a separate page for interview prep.
